Our curriculum implements Belonging, Being and Becoming – The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. Through this framework we will build on children’s interests, knowledge, experience and background as individuals within the group.

The areas in which educators stimulate children’s interests by offering a wide variety of experiences including: Visual and expressive Art, Construction, Information and Communication Technology Skills, Physical Exercise, Health, Personal Development, Language, Environment & Science, Literacy, Numeracy, Music and School Readiness. Educators further stimulate children’s interests with questions and encouragement, which in turn, facilitate ongoing learning and positive reflective practices.

We believe children should learn the importance of respecting and appreciating the environment through nurturing of plants and animals, by using water wisely and understanding and participating in recycling. Environmental education will be fostered in all children by keeping the environment clean.

Our curriculum creates opportunities for children to engage in a variety of experiences in both small and larger groups. We encourage a holistic approach that uses intentional teaching as well as child and family input and spontaneous activity.

Our educators engage in reflective practices for evaluation, effective planning, identifying strengths and interests and pedagogical practice. We believe in providing ongoing information to families with regards to children’s learning and development.

Every effort is made to ensure the program reflects children’s continuing experiences.

The curriculum incorporates the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes for all organised and spontaneous activities. These broad outcomes include;

Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world

Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators

Families may wish to meet with the Nominated Supervisor in order to gain a greater understanding of how individual programs are developed. Children and families are strongly encouraged to have input into our Curriculum.
